❌ Can I Mark a Patient As Uncontactable After Several Manual Calls?

Updated over 3 months ago

Hippo doesn’t currently have a built-in option to label a patient as “uncontactable” within the interface, but there are ways to manage these cases.

If you’ve made multiple unsuccessful call attempts, you can:

✅ 1. Use a manual outcome

After your final call attempt, use the Action Patient button in the Recall List and select an outcome like:

  • No response

  • Unable to contact

You can also add a note to explain how many attempts were made or who tried to contact the patient.

📦 2. Export for bulk coding

If your team wants to formally code uncontactable patients in EMIS, we can provide a custom export of patients marked with these outcomes. You can then apply bulk SNOMED codes (e.g. “Unable to contact after 5 attempts”) through your clinical system.

Just message the Hippo team and we’ll generate the export for you.
