🧒 Can Hippo Be Used for Patients Under 18?

Updated over 3 months ago

Yes, Hippo can recall patients under 18 if they meet the criteria for an indicator that’s active in your campaign.

There’s no hard age limit in the system. If a child or young person is eligible based on their clinical record and the rules of the recall indicator, they’ll be included automatically.

👶 Examples of under-18 recalls:

  • Childhood immunisations (e.g. 8-week vaccinations, pre-school boosters)

  • Long-term condition reviews (e.g. diabetes, asthma)

  • Flu vaccinations (for children in a clinical risk group)

⚙️ How does Hippo know to include them?

When you set up a campaign, you select the indicators you want to recall for (e.g. SMR002, CHI006, AST007). If any of those apply to under-18s based on the clinical rules, Hippo will include those patients, no extra filtering needed.
