🆕 What's changed?
When setting up a campaign in Hippo Recaller, you can now add NOT conditions alongside your existing indicators.
This means you can specify indicators that should exclude a patient from a campaign, even if they would otherwise meet your inclusion criteria.
💡 Why is this useful?
Before this feature, if a patient matched your campaign's indicator, they'd be included, even if they had another condition that made them unsuitable for that particular invite.
With NOT conditions, you can now say: "Invite patients with [condition A], but NOT if they also have [condition B]."
This is particularly helpful when:
Running condition-specific campaigns where certain comorbidities make an invite inappropriate
Avoiding duplicate or conflicting outreach across multiple campaigns
Tidying up your patient lists without manual exclusions
🔍 What this looks like in practice
When building your campaign criteria, you'll now see the option to add exclusion indicators alongside your inclusions - you can see this on the Patient Selection page.
For example:
✅ Include: Patients eligible for the Flu vaccine
❌ Exclude: Patients who have asthma
Only patients who meet the inclusion criteria and don't match any exclusions will be pulled into the campaign.
🔒 Everything else stays the same
Indicator exclusions work within your existing campaign setup. Nothing about how messages are sent or how results are tracked has changed.
✅ All existing consent and opt-out rules still apply
✅ Works alongside Smart Send and Standard Send
