📊 How to Monitor Campaign Performance

Once your recall campaigns are up and running, it’s crucial to monitor their performance and identify areas for improvement. Hippo simplifies this process through the Practice Analytics tab, giving you visibility into everything from booking rates to overall campaign effectiveness over time.

From pre-planning appointments to monitoring campaign uptake, this tool empowers you to strategically plan and target cohorts with accuracy, ensuring you stay on track to meet your goals.


📍 Where to go

Click the Practice Analytics tab in the top navigation bar.

Then go to the “Advanced Analytics” section.


📈 What you’ll see

Here are the key sections to look at:

Success Metrics

  • Number of patients recalled (automated messages sent)

  • Number of bookings made as a result

  • Use this to check how many patients are converting after being contacted

Note: This won’t show you which patients have booked in for an appointment. To see who’s booked, you’ll need to use the Recall List. See our step-by-step instructions for that.

✉️ Recall Methods

  • Breakdown of how successful each contact method has been:

    • Text

    • Email

    • WhatsApp

    • NHS App (if enabled)

  • Helpful for deciding whether to change message types in future campaigns

📆 Appointments Booked by Campaign

  • Shows which campaigns are driving the most appointments

  • Lets you compare performance across different indicators (e.g. smears vs diabetes)

📊 Campaign Messages Sent

  • Tracks volume of messages over time per campaign

  • Use this to check if any campaigns have slowed, paused, or need review

📱 NHS App Sign-up & Notification Rate

  • Helps you understand how many patients are likely to respond to NHS App messages (if used)

🧮 QOF Progress

  • Monitor QOF points over time

  • Helps connect your recall work to year-end outcomes


🧠 How to use this info

  • If bookings are low, you might:

    • Change the message method (e.g. try SMS instead of email)

    • Adjust how many messages are sent

    • Check if appointment slots are available

  • If a campaign is performing well, you can:

    • Increase the daily volume

    • Reuse the same configuration for similar targets

  • If a campaign has paused unexpectedly, check:

    • Slot availability

    • Contact delivery success

    • Patient eligibility filters
