๐Ÿงญ Navigating the Hippo Recaller Dashboard

Once you're logged in, you'll land on the Recall List - the main hub where most day-to-day work happens. This guide walks you through what each tab does and how to get around the platform.


๐Ÿ” Recall List (Main tab)

This is where youโ€™ll see all patients who still need to be recalled manually, usually because:

  • They didnโ€™t respond to automated messages

  • They donโ€™t have valid contact info

  • Theyโ€™ve been flagged for a follow-up call

Here you can:

  • Use filters to narrow down the list (e.g. by morbidity, housebound status, or care home)

  • Click "See Patient" to view care needs, contact details, and log outcomes

  • Track your own and your team's progress via Personal Recalls Today and Team Recalls Today stats at the top


๐Ÿ“ˆ Practice Analytics

Use this tab to monitor how your recall campaigns are going. You'll see:

  • How many patients have booked after receiving invites

  • Success rates for different message types (e.g. SMS vs email)

  • Trends over time and progress toward targets (like QOF)

๐Ÿฆธ Mostly used by Super Users and practice leads.


๐Ÿ“ค Recall Campaigns

This is where Super Users can:

  • Create new recall campaigns

  • Choose how patients are contacted (email, SMS, WhatsApp, NHS App)

  • Set how many messages to send and how often

๐Ÿ’ก If you donโ€™t see this tab, it just means youโ€™re not a Super User - no action needed!


๐Ÿ“‹ Worklists

The Worklists tab is visible to everyone and acts like a smart to-do list for your practice.

Hippo automatically surfaces patients who need attention based on data you've entered or actions you've recorded. It's designed to make it easier for your team to follow up on common admin and operational tasks โ€” without needing to search or filter manually.

You might see patients listed here for things like:

  • ๐Ÿ“ต Incorrect contact details

    If you recorded the outcome "Contact details missing or incorrect" during a manual recall, the patient will appear here so your team can follow up and update their records.

  • ๐Ÿ“ Out-of-area patients

    Patients marked as no longer in your catchment area will appear here for review or deregistration.

  • ๐Ÿ“ Unapproved basic health data

    If a patient has submitted updated personal or health details via a Typeform (e.g. height, smoking status), this list shows any pending approvals.

๐Ÿ’ก Use Worklists regularly to help keep your patient records clean, your recalls efficient, and your admin backlog under control.


๐Ÿ”Ž Search Bar (top right)

Quickly find a patient by NHS number or name to:

  • Check their recall status

  • See what care is outstanding

  • Log a manual outcome if needed
